In accordance with the HTI-1 Final Rule, the ONC has determined that the ongoing maintenance of the “edition” naming convention will no longer be enforced, including the cessation of adopting new editions of certification criteria. Therefore, all criteria will now be denoted as “ONC Certification Criteria for Health IT”, and references to the “2015 Edition” have been eliminated.
In response to this, Drummond is issuing new certificates with updated versions of the Drummond and ONC logos. Should you choose to utilize these logos, please ensure that your website is updated with the most recent versions provided. For those who have not made these updates already, Drummond kindly requests that the following language be prominently displayed on your listed mandatory disclosures webpage as soon as possible:
ONC Disclaimer: “This Health IT Module is compliant with the ONC Certification Criteria for Health IT and has been certified by an ONC-ACB in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. This certification does not represent an endorsement by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.”
While these updates are made, we remind our certified developers to also update their active certified products with the following information:
- Developer organization name
- Date the product was certified
- Product name and version
- Unique certification number
- Certification criteria to which the product has been certified
- Clinical Quality Measures (CQMs) to which the product has been certified
- Any additional software the certified product relied upon to demonstrate its compliance with certification criteria
This information can be directly linked to your certificate of compliance or listed on your website (either methodology is acceptable given the required information is present). It’s also important to note that along with the information above, certified developers must include any applicable cost or fee information for their active certified products. Some of this information is included in your certificate of compliance and can be accessed via the mandatory disclosures URL.
