Drummond Certified™ AS2/AS4 Certification Marks Usage

Updated: December 1, 2024

Certificate of Interoperability

Drummond Group, LLC (Drummond) will issue an official Drummond Certified™ seal for each product that successfully completes Drummond’s AS2 or AS4 full-matrix B2B interoperability test event.

Please note that an AS2/AS4 interoperability certification indicates the interoperability of a specific product-with-version, within a specific group of other products-with-version for a specific test event timeframe (e.g., AS2-4Q24). Products certified in these test events may not be interoperable with products tested during previous test events. Interoperability test events must be periodically repeated to verify that as product names, versions, or releases change, they remain interoperable.

The relevance of AS2/AS4 test event certification within real world deployment diminishes over time as new products enter the market and existing products change with revisions and updates. Given such changes in the product test group, an interoperability certification does not guarantee perpetual interoperability within real world deployments, and interoperability test events must be repeated to include new products, unchanged existing products, and existing products with new versions. From a market perspective, interoperability may only last for 6-12 months.

Drummond Registered Mark Usage

The Drummond Certified™ AS2 and AS4 certification seals signify that the certified product has proven adherence with applicable standards and best practices, interoperability with other test event participants, and is equipped to meet the operational demands of modern retail environments.

Users of the Drummond Logo must abide by Drummond’s Brand Guidelines

All organizations that successfully complete a Drummond AS2/AS4 Interoperability Test Event will receive a digital copy of the badge, that will include the date the test event was completed for use on their website and marketing materials.

If Drummond discovers incorrect use of the Certificate of Compliance and/or the Drummond Registered Marks (Drummond Certified™ seal or logo), these infractions shall be dealt with as follows:

  1. The action chosen will depend upon several factors such as: the laws of the country in which the misuse occurs; the seriousness of the misuse, whether the misuse was inadvertent or deliberate and whether the use intent was to confuse or mislead the market.
  2. Drummond will require a misuser to take corrective action whenever a Drummond Registered mark has been affixed to a product:
    • that is not authorized to bear the mark because there is no record of the product’s certification, or it does not comply with the certification requirements,
    • where the mark is unauthorized (e.g., a counterfeit mark),
    • where the mark is being displayed in violation of any existing agreement,
    • where there are incorrect references to the Drummond Certified program or misleading use of certificates or marks are found in advertisements or catalogs,
    • where Drummond incorrectly claims product certification and issues certificate and/or marks, the Certification Body may require to subsequently issue a withdrawal of all marks or certificates.
  3. Drummond may take corrective actions, which include but are not limited to:
    • notification and recommendation for re-test,
    • removal of Certificate or mark.
    • request re-test and certification of the product so that it complies with certification requirements.
