Austin, TX. March 11, 2009. Drummond Group Inc., the trusted interoperability test lab, announced today that the 2009 AS3-1Q09 interoperability test was officially completed. Axway, Cleo Communications, Inc., IBM, Inovis, nuBridges, Inc., and Sterling Commerce successfully completed the testing.
AS3 is the IETF specification standard (RFC 4823) by which vendor applications communicate any data, including EDI over the Internet, using File Transfer Protocol (FTP) with digital security and receipt validation. This test round also offered an optional test, Very Large Message Exchange (VLM), with payloads up to 1 GB that all participants passed. Because these vendors certify both AS2 and AS3, companies using their AS2 products can also take advantage of their AS3 certified products for VLM exchange over the internet.
“In this test, we were excited to provide the participants what they asked for: interoperability test automation,” says Rik Drummond, CEO Drummond Group Inc. “InSitu®, Drummond Group’s patented interoperability test automation software, continues to show its promise as more standards are added. Participants are benefiting from automation by continually saving time and manpower, frequently cutting their time spent in testing by half.”
